ProMod is a mod that intends to add various countries to ETS2. It was founded by ScuL and Nico on the 15th of December 2012, many months after the release of Euro Truck Simulator 2. Their project was firstly introduced on the SCS forum on the 20th of December 2012 and on the 6th of January 2013 they started a facebook page. ScuL wanted to do Scandinavia first because he was going to do that map area first than the others. Mandelsoft joined on the 8th of August 2013, Kutchek on the 1st of August 2013, Lolsmurf on September 20th, 2013 and Robertas on the 28th of February 2014. ProMod comparing to TSM [truck-sim mod] has high-resolution textures than TSM's low-resolution textures. ProMod also put in various brands such as SAAB, Volvo, Scania, and IKEA. ProMod has also a direct link to SCS Software. So the two of them are guarenteed connections and none of the two will break away from that. SCS Software will for example wait for updates on the ProMod maps and ProMod will wait for SCS Software updates and vice versa. One of the greatest features about ProMods is that, unlike TSM, they use their own intersections by making custom ones. ProMod is also going to invest into American Truck Simulator once the game is released in public beta, beta, alpha, or full version form. The next couple of developers that joined ProMods were: robertas14, mirfi, and Platypus. robertas14 joined on August 8th 2013, mirfi joined on February 28th, 2014, and Platypus joined on August 6th, 2013. 2 new developers joined: PH-AMG on December 25, 2013 and Purno joined on April 22, 2014. Not long after that, FLD became the site's 11th developer. The site now has 11 developers.

ProMod Country Biographies Edit

Andorra Edit

Andorra is a new ProMod country that will have one city: Andorra la Vella. The country will feature spectacular scenery from the Pyrenness' Mountains and mix-texture of France and Spain.

DenmarkEdit

Denmark [Scandinavia ProMod] is where you will always go through if you were going to Norway, Sweden, or Finland. The only way to avoid this country [if you don't want to go to Denmark for some reason] is to simply not go there. The country has seven cities [Kobenhavn, Odense, Hirtshals, Esbjerg, Aalborg, Aarhus, and Kolding] and has a blend of northern Germany, southern Norway, and western Sweden. Denmark will have three new cities [Viborg, Holstebro, and Herning]  in the new ProMod map update soon.

Estonia

Estonia is a new ProMod country that will have five cities: Tallinn, Tartu, Haapsalu, Narva, and Panu. The terrain will feature a mix of Finland, Russia, and Latvia.

Finland Edit

Finland [Scandinavia ProMod] is the smallest country [road wise] in the game with only two cities [Turku and Helsinki] and is the only country that has little to none local roads. It only has a blend of eastern Sweden and western Russia. Tampere and Lahti are the two new cities planned for Finland.

IcelandEdit

Iceland is a new country being made by ProMods. When it is done it will have 4 towns and a lot of hilly roads but beautiful scenery.

IrelandEdit

Ireland is a new ProMod country that will have five cities: Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway, Waterford. It will also feature two cities in Northern Ireland [Belfast and Londonderry/Derry] and one city on the Isle of Man [Douglas]. The country will feature terrain from the United Kingdom and be the 2nd country to feature left-side driving.

LatviaEdit

Latvia is a new ProMod country that will have three cities: Riga, Liepaja, Daugavpils, Saulkrasti. It will feature terrain from Russia, Estona, and Lithuania.

LithuaniaEdit

Lithuania is a new ProMod country that will have four cities: Vilnius, Klaipeda, Kaunas, and Panevezys. It will feature terrain from Latvia, Poland, and Russia.

MonacoEdit

Monaco is a new ProMod country that will have one city: Monaco. The terrain will be sparse despite that Monaco is a very ridicuously small country. The terrain will be a feature from France only.

NorwayEdit

Norway [Scandinavia ProMod] has a blend of Swedish scenery and northern Denmark roads. It has eight cities [Oslo, Kristiansand, Stavanger, Bergen, Odda, Gardermoen, Honefoss, and Geilo] and it comes with 90% local roads and 10% two-three lane roads including a big ring road around Oslo. Trondheim is the new city planned for Norway.

RomaniaEdit

Romania is an upcoming country being developed by ProMods.

RussiaEdit

Russia is a new ProMod country that will have three cities: St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, and Pskov. The terrain will be a mix from Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, and Poland but there is no comment if Moscow will be added.

SpainEdit

Spain is a new ProMod country that will have seven cities: Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Palma de Mallorca, Zaragoza, Valladolid, and Bilbao. Terrain will be a mix from France, Andorra, and Portugal even if Portugal is not going to be featured yet.

Sweden Edit

Sweden has seven cities [Stockholm, Malmo, Karlstad, Jonkoping, Goteborg, Skovde, and Sodertalje] and at Sodertalje, it features Scania warehouses and the Scania test track. At Skovde, it features a Volvo warehouse, but no Volvo test track. Sweden has the most unusual two lane and three lane road system because in some places, one side will have two lanes, and the other side will have only one lane. The one lane limit is 90 kmh and the two lane limit is 110 kmh. The highest speed limit in the country is 120 kmh. Sweden will get three new cities [Trelleborg, Ystad, and Linkoping] for the new ProMod map update.
